Re: Start-Up Chile

Read about this when it first made news, haven't followed it much though. Would love to hear more from the fellows above who have start ups entering the program, who and what, etc. Or is that a no no?

Just curious.

Re: QR Codes in Chile

Best use of a QR code I've seen. Ever. http://mashable.com/2011/04/26/qr-code-resume/ That being said, I question the viable implementation of QR codes in marketing here. It could go either way. Most Chileans I know LOVE their fancy phones, and many of them have android handsets. So that's not reall...

Re: Help! Big feet, no shoes!

Ha ha ha, we went through this trying to find shoes for my boyfriend late last year. He's a size 13. Hush Puppies didn't fit him either, which is what I'd hoped for. You won't find them in Chile. We went to Argentina. The Argies tend to be bigger and seem to cater to the big footed as a result. We g...

Re: A Hello and a couple questions re: documents

Hey there. I can't speak for the American consulate but I got both my Cedula and Passport through the consulate in Toronto, Canada. I only had an expired cedula to offer as proof of who I was, but they were able to find me in the system. I paid an extra fee to put a rush on it, and had everything in...

Re: What do you do with your smaller peso pieces?

I have a friend who's a handyman and he told me he's been known to use the 1 peso coins as washers for screws/nails. He says the peso coin ends up being cheaper than buying them lol.

Re: How long did it take you to feel at home here ?

Chile is not the easiest place to integrate. You will learn alot about yourself, what you can tolerate and what you will not tolerate. Those are important distinctions because you learn about yourself while keeping intact your own intrinsic values. Don't feel bad when they don't respond to your smil...

Re: From Canada to Quilpue :) Im here finally

Greetings fellow Canucks! We're from Toronto (BF) and Calgary (me) and have been here since October 2009. We live on the coast in El Quisco, about an hour from Valparaiso (right next to Algarrobo). We also brought our dogs but didn't have any problems clearing customs, mostly because I ignored the T...

Re: Santiago to Mendoza (By Bus)

Cata is probably the most comfortable and reliable option. The price for the Royal Suite  is only a bit more and while they are far from Royal, they are far more comfortable than the executive class and only a few dollars more, well worth it. Semi-cama is bloody awful. Never doing that again. ...

Re: Therapeutic massage?

Lani, check out Benoit's site (I responded to your private message). He has a concierge section where he recommends the services he uses and his massage therapist is listed. I believe he'll go to your home. Not sure about prices, but it can't hurt to ask ;)

Re: Chile: country of street dogs

Gringalais- a few weeks ago a friend and I were chatting in front of the house and my little white dog was with me. We were in the street in front of the house. Another neighbor came home and as they were opening their gate, one of their psychotic german shepherds ran out and headed straight for my ...
