Re: temperature 32 Celcius (in the shade?)

Did it say 19.5 was the average high, or average for the whole day? If it is the latter it could be right, since the low temperaturs. are still in the low to mid teens.

Re: Citizenship waiting times

Wow, I sure didn't expect to log in and see all that! I probably shouldn't feed the troll, but I just can't resist. If the government of Chile doesn't care if I keep my other citizenship, then why do you care so much what I do? I have family in the US. Currently, if I only have Chilean citize...

Re: Citizenship waiting times

Well, a quick update on my situation. I received a letter today (dated December 11th) saying that I have been approved. Similar to Seawolf 180, it says I have to pay CLP3,018, turn in my Permanencia Definitiva along with an up-to-date Certificado de Antecedentes in order to get my Letter of National...

Re: Residencia definitiva saga

I hate the whole middle name/last name confusion. I do not like my middle name at all. It's my mom's first name, she never liked it, but decided to give it to me anyways. I don't like it either, it's an old lady name. In the US I could pretty much forget it, but it does get confused as one of my las...

Re: Summer in Santiago

I know, I know - I will first expect all of the "Santiasco sucks" comments. For those folks, there is already a nice post of day trips OUTSIDE Santiago, but I know some interesting things go on IN Santiago, too - and some of us actually LIKE it here in the summer!! Thanks for saying this Kathy, I h...
