RAIN IN SOUTH

Don't know about Bahia Mansa. Coyhiaque (sp) and Chile Chico are a couple drier places south of Pto Montt. Supposedly Chile Chico has 300 sunny days per year (?!)

BAHIA MANSA AND SURROUNDINGS

I think is is a popular destination for local people, mainly Osorno and nearby. Probably you could call it undiscovered, but cold water, regular strong winds and generally unglamorous development don't make it really attractive to people who seek the opposites of those traits.

I rode out there one day last October. I remember it to be about one hour on a paved road from Osorno. I went directly to the water. It was a windy day and there were a dozen or so fishing boats anchored out in the bay. There were a couple modest restaurants around, and some other tourist-looking in...
