Re: The Chile Economy, Social Crisis and Virus Impact

So, at least in los lagos, the constitutional reform is pretty far down everyone's priority list. 20200909_073145.jpg Wich can also be dangerous. One thing for example is not being interested in some ho hum election. Another is ignoring what is written in to a new constitution. That is probably wha...

Re: The Chile Economy, Social Crisis and Virus Impact

There is something seriously wrong with a country that can even consider that guy as a presidential candidade at all, Yes , agreed, I also think there is something seriously wrong with a country that can't control social/stability/cohesion/political order (call it what you like, but months and mont...

Re: ¡¡ BancoEstado

There are big worldwide attacks going on these last few months. NZ stock exchange was targeted a couple of weeks ago forcing it to close 6 days in a row, other Australian and NZ government and financial institutions have been targeted. I believe Canada too.

At least Chilean politics are consistent. They're mostly the same 50 years later.

Re: The official thread re the future Valpo megaquake

That was short, but strong. They're calling it a 6.4 so far. There was a bigger one farther north maybe a week ago. Hopefully not a bigger one to come, they were saying after the bigger one further north it could cause quakes further south. Dont know if it's related, theres always that many in Chil...

Re: coronavirus (COVID-19) in Chile

Parts of my area look like summer already. You would never guess there's a virus or a quarantine. The full time locals seem to observe the mask rules but... so OK I understand no one wants to be stuck in Santiago, but do they need to be so rude? No, you're not better than me if your auto is more ex...

Re: coronavirus (COVID-19) in Chile

Quarantine means absolutely f*** all to a lot of people here. A lot of them seem to just go about their business as usual. My sister-in-law was supposedly in quarantine in Santiago and she somehow ended up in Osorno visiting my in-laws (me and my wife went mental, as my mother-in-law has respirator...

Honestly, kind of relieved to be relieved of the obligation to run around to all the friends and relatives asados around the 18th. Just going to stay home with the family. Possibly invite a friend or two that I know I am certain they have been in strict self-imposed quarantine. Lol, yeah me too. I ...
