Re: Eireann

Ah - sure I chat enough with a brother or two in Irish. Thanks for the info though. Gonna try and get a better grip on Spanish though. Been lazy with it and find more pedigree speaking English with my 2 year old; a bilingual tongue would benefit him. Regarding Irish… To intoduce Peig and her various...

Re: Eireann

Donnybrook - You are probably one of the few on this forum with a good gathering of "Colaiste na bhfiann, Ring i gcontae port-lairge" 'gus a leithead! I was blessed with our native Irish tongue given my surroundings and my papa from Falls road in Belfast. It's our beautiful language. Taught badly in...

Re: Transferring money

While dealing with them before they ceased Chilean transfers about a year ago, they were open to negotiation on their 1.5% fee as long as the amounts to be transferred were large. Although their current cap of 3k US doesn't fit that level, my point is that they are open to negotiation. I also spoke ...

Re: IVA and Construction

Admin - My attorney did all the necessary searches and the seller is definetely the owner, and the land is not Indian/indigenous. The seller is my neighbour. I did have a private surveyor measure the land to separate a smaller piece for the seller's larger piece of land. This is why Bienes Nacionale...

Transferring money

Guys, Transferwise in the UK are up and running again with transfers to Chile. The only caveat is that they still charge 1.5% and the max one can transfer in a 30 day period is the equivalent of 3000US dollars.

Re: IVA and Construction

Gloria, to answer your question, I checked around and it appears that if one wants to use an EIRL, they will be allocated a completely different RUT number solely for this EIRL. They can then use this EIRL in a contract and charge IVA. They cannot use their personal RUT number in a contract and char...

Re: IVA and Construction

My understanding is that Bienes Nacionales need to measure the land officially by sending out an independent topographer of their choosing (Which they have explained to me) and then the matter will proceed to Bienes Raices. I just happened to pop into the Bienes Nacioanles office one day to ask a fe...
