Re: What would you want with land in Chile ?

Well....like everything else here the Revisión Técnica depends on who you know.... I see fewer cars with plumes of smoke behind them here than in Canada. Cars generally seem to be in a better state of maintenance here, and I think that's only thanks to better revision tecnica. In Canada they only c...

Coima city dude!
And how many years do you have living in Chile then? :) Seriously though, I think it's just a matter of setting up the program properly. Chilean Revision Tecnica comes to mind as an example of a properly set up program. It can be done.

Re: What would you want with land in Chile ?

Soooo? Do nothing then ? Do exactly what then? They could get some thermal leak detectors (36 bucks on Amazon, shipping and duties included Most can't, at least not directly, even if they wanted to. Somehow I think the realities of living here, as experienced by the majority, escape you. Gloria had...

Re: What would you want with land in Chile ?

What about cleaner heating source together with insulation? That would be the "cat's pijamas". Like what, exactly? Imported gas is expensive. Electricity with that winter sobreconsumo surcharge is even worse, even if the pathetic electricity grid that exists in most places could handle the extra lo...

Re: What would you want with land in Chile ?

The other interesting thing he mentioned is they are introducing electric charge stations in many cities and towns for electric cars as they want to quadruple he ammount of electric cars in Chile in this term, its a pretty low base so it shouldnt be hard. He said that will be ready by next year, it...

Luckily for Trumpf, US economy still going strong
I kinda feel US propaganda is about the only thing that's still going strong over there. Shadowstats.com gives US inflation at 6% and unemployment at 21.5%.

Re: The trade wars, they have begun

That's a wheel of cheese redefined :) Reminds me of Canadian ingenuity in smuggling American dairy over to the Great White North, to cheat on the all-powerful Canadian milk and egg cartel. And so, just like in Canada, it could be a price issue and not a quality issue, right? Now that Finnish cheese...

Re: The trade wars, they have begun

I don't know about Russia, but I think something fishy is going on in the EU. I just bought two bricks of French butter (President) in Lider at 500 pesos cheaper than local Soprole, and had to throw it away because of the disgusting smell that came off of it when I put it on the frying pan. Made me...

Re: The trade wars, they have begun

When Russia closed its borders to EU goods a few years ago, importers just became a bit more creative, and it took a long time and effort to plug all the holes. Which made Russia stronger. I wonder what it's going to do to the US, what with the corruption potential of the Chinese being an order of ...

Re: Chinese corp. wants to build an electric car factory in Chile

Other 3 manufacturing plants in Chile? No. But the text didn't make that clear. La compañía explicó que la sobreoferta se produce luego de que en China se instalaron otras tres fábricas de contenedores, llegando a siete en los últimos seis años. http://diario.elmercurio.com/2018/06/15/economia_y_ne...
