Re: China Growth Has Stopped

i have landed more chinese clients, and had more contacts or enquiries from china, in the last two years, than in all the years we have been in biz combined. Uff, more bad drivers on Chilean roads. At least the Argies are easily recognizable with their fancy plates. I watched a Chinese couple nearl...

Re: Porotos, and their photos...

After reading these US apple grade standards I can say with a high degree of certainty there's not a single apple on any local feria in Chile that complies. Jumbo does have standard apples from the looks of them, probably because they buy big enough volume and pay high enough to be able to deal with...

Re: Porotos, and their photos...

This is the time of year where porotos granados are harvested and plentiful. There is no sorting, you have to buy a couple kilos and peel out the beans yourself. Yes, and this varies week to week. One week all vendors seem to sell "straight" and "normal' beans (I mean porotos "granados"), another w...

According to this, Chile is using GMO agriculture: https://gmo.geneticliteracyproject.org/FAQ/where-are-gmos-grown-and-banned/ They have (or had) GMO seed production here on a pretty small scale - I remember figures like 22K ha that later shrank to 5K ha - and only for export, but I've never seen a...

Chileans, (and I must admit me as well now), have a mild psychosis about these events, as you are never sure at the outset whether a tremor is going to be just a rumble and a gentle shake or is the start of something bigger.
That was the scariest thing about the 8.3 I experienced here.

Buy European, no GMOs
How do you know these are GMO? I mean, isn't there a law that prohibits growing GMO food for human consumption in Chile? As in, they can import it because of free trade, but not grow locally.

Re: electric vehicles in chile

Well, they tried to get the guy out of the car, but there were no door handles, coz it's a Tesla. It doesn't just make you into a tree-hugger, it makes you into a tree-hugging shish-ke-bob. Come on. You are stretching to find something to complain about with the Tesla. The statistics on deaths per ...

I seen it on twit, now I'm so convinced.
Did you see a tweet showing the trucks burning on the Venezuelan side? If not, what's your point?

Re: Venezuela crisis

they lit the first trucks to cross on fire Apparently, it's the opposition themselves who lit the truck on the Colombian side, in frustration of not being able to cross and to create the 'right' TV visual. ok, show me the footage. there were only thousands of cameras in the area. https://pbs.twimg....
