Re: UK Passport Photos

Portal Lyon on the corner of Ricardo Lyon and Providencia (metro Los Leones i believe) has few photo shops on the first floor. They are doing passport photos and have specs needed. Have photo samples in the windows. You should have no issues getting the right photo there. Now for getting the 4 month...

Re: Name change

Whatever you change your name to, make sure to run it by several native and educated speakers beforehand to avoid ending up with a name that means something that will make people smirk—or even worse. There is one member of this forum whose last name provokes reactions like that in any Spanish speak...

Re: Our Cost of Living - 2014

I do wonder if a lot of people saying Chile is MORE expensive than where they came from are trying to recreate what they had back home. Say if you come from North America and decide you want a Detroit car, your favourite brands of North American clothing, your favourite foods imported from outside ...

Re: Our Cost of Living - 2014

Very nice post. I have found living in Santiago is more expensive for me than living in Ontario Canada. Apt in Providencia $500 000clp,gastos 110 000, School for one child $400 000clp. In addition to food, internet, phones, insurances, gas, clothes, tolls, etc. Everything costs more and lots of thin...

Re: 2014 - Help? Process for import or purchase guns in Chil

Chilean politicians decided to curb the crime so they will try to pass the law where all pellet guns, airsoft and sligshots need to be registered as well as regular firearms. They also want people to bring their empty shells in order to get permission to purchase more ammo. Seems that the root caus...

Re: 2014 - Help? Process for import or purchase guns in Chil

Those who need guns to feel safe should just stay in the US instead of trying to import their garbage values here. First I am not from US, second do not feel the need to owe guns to feel safe. If i did would not live in that country. BUT considering all that every country has dangerous people and i...

Re: 2014 - Help? Process for import or purchase guns in Chil

To the OP, importing a firearm used primarily by the armedforces is more difficult than hunting firearms. and no an AR 15 is not a hunting firearm..... I submit to you that an AR 15 is indeed a hunting firearm; arguably one of the most effective hunting firearms against the greatest scourge to Texa...

To the OP, importing a firearm used primarily by the armedforces is more difficult than hunting firearms. and no an AR 15 is not a hunting firearm..... First ar15 is not armed forces firearm and some people do hunt with them. Second Chile has a list of firearms that can be imported and semiauto cen...

Re: 2014 - Help? Process for import or purchase guns in Chil

Chile has very restrictive firearms laws for people that respect the law. Does not make too much difference to criminals. Exactly! But on the other hand there are not 20,000,000 guns floating around for criminals to acquire......... I am sorry BUT which 20 000 000 guns are those? I just love the wa...
