Re: Foreigners without residency, can not leave with Chilean car

So your visa (eg. subject to contract or official) ends and you revert to being a tourist with just 30 days or whatever to leave the country. You need to do a border run to give you some more time to wind up your affairs. How are you supposed to get there?? Is that a real question? You'd do ...

Re: New Citizenship requirements as of February 28

I'm in the process of gathering the documents for my citizenship application and I just happened to notice that they recently uploaded a new required documents list, valid as of February 28, 2017. The only change I've seen so far is this: 9. Certificado de Antecedentes Penales o Judiciales Vigente,...

Re: Chilean Driver's License

Here's an update on the driving license/Octavo Basico quest. First, a recap: I need the Octavo Basico Certificate in order to apply for the driving license. Obtaining a notarized diploma from my birth country is not possible. I have spent now several weeks on the 8B quest. I went to Providencia Mun...

Re: Chilean Driver's License

How typically Chilean. What does knowing how to get there have to do with getting a license? It's a drivers license, not to be a London cabbie. I was quite happy when they didn't make me do that when I took my test (despite technically being required according to the website at the time.) Dunno if ...

Re: are charges for rental property damage based on "useful life"?

It may be ridiculous but that's the way it is Jack! Once you've cemented tiles or whatever on the floor, you're NOT longer the owner of that flooring and becomes part of the structure even if you have a receipts and they have been blessed by the Pope! If the original house didn't have flooring and ...

Spam to personal email, presumably taken from ALLCHILE

Hey y'all Just giving you a heads up that I got a weird spammy email from Instagram using the email and username that I use on this website. I don't really use the email for anything else, and I don't think I've reused this username on any other website which uses an email. So, just giving everyone/...

Re: What's the best Chilean cheese for making mac n cheese?

I don't think I have ever seen anyone makes mac n cheese with velveeta, anywhere. actuelly, I can not stand velveeta. https://www.amazon.com/Velveeta-Shells-Cheese-Dinner-12-Ounce/dp/B000W7WRCA?th=1 Not mac n cheese, shells and cheese. Totally different, haha. In all seriousness, it's nothing at al...

Re: What's the best Chilean cheese for making mac n cheese?

Lider sells both kraft and walmart brand mac and cheese. :  I love me some boxed mac n cheese, but it's definitely a different product than mac and cheese made with actual cheese. The local brands are shockingly nasty tasting. Like the moron that designed it, never actually tasted mac and ch...

My carnet expires at the end of 2018. I think I need a new one anyways since I haven't been able to find it for the last 2 weeks or so. Oops

Re: The Trump Administration

In fact that has been one of things i am kind of liking about trump, if there is such a thing. The crap he says is soooo obviously false (like deductive, not just inductive), that it is entertaining to watch the frigen media try to figure out how to report it. It's brilliant really. Make outrageous...
