Re: South African needs advice on moving to chile

Hey. I've been teaching Spanish to a South African guy here in Santiago. I can introduce you to him whenever you arrive. I see you're in Vancouver now. I've been thinking on studying a masters in linguistics at B.C. Uni. We definitely have to get together and talk! :)

Cheers!

Re: Native teacher with good spanish

Good level of spanish is not mandatory but it is a plus. I am not scam, I am just doing a favor to a person who's looking for a teacher for his staff. Probably he should have been doing this instead of myself, but well I just wanted to help him.

Thanks.

Andrés.

Primavera Fauna Festival

http://www.fotorock.cl/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Primavera_Fauna_Horarios1.jpg Is anyone going? Do you know how to get to the place? Are you looking forward to seeing any of those bands? In my case I will be seeing Dinosaur Jr, classic punk-rock band. I might be going alone so I can always have so...

One of the best documentaries I've ever seen. Not a chance they're gonna broadcast it on TV. Corporate media still suck!

Re: English teachers needed!

Despite our name, we are not just after homework helpers. We employ qualified experienced teachers to teach both children and adults English. We give classes at the home or office and our approach is communicative but still structured. Each student is carefully evaluated and has set objectives that...

Re: closed captioning VTR

Its on a preference the rest depends on the channel, if the main stream is with spanish voice, there is hardly ever subtitles if the main stream is w...

Re: closed captioning VTR

Hello there. I think (maybe I'm wrong) that the CC option depends on the channel and not the tv or cable operator. I also have a Samsung series 5 and I have VTR so I'm gonna take a look. I'll let you know as soon as I can.

Cheers!

Re: Newbie boy from Santiago

I'm not familiar with that band, although there's a post-punk band from the 80's called Flag of Convenience. Anyway, I hope you can find a partner to go to the show, yeah, it sucks going alone. What type of music does Kings of Convenience play? Would you recommend any particular album or song? cheers!
