Re: chile's migration crisis

So what do foreigners pay chile for immigrating? Seems about 200 million dollars over the 7 years. http://www.pulso.cl/economia-dinero/llegada-extranjeros-chile-aporto-mas-us200-millones-al-fisco-2010-2017/ You would think for 200 milliin and change they could fix the immigratiin system. I dont kno...

Re: Bolivia in court today about Chile and access to the sea

This is out front of the Bolivian navy's (yes, there still is one) headquarters:Picture1.jpg Old animosities die hard. It reads "what was once ours will be ours again" and you can guess the nationality of the soldiers. What a vile attitude towards a neighbour. I wonder how Switzerland, Luxemburg, A...

Re: The Pinera administration 2.0

Quite a few British journalists and crew from Russia Today quit when they were told to just repeat lies with no sources on Ukraine after Crimea was invaded. Those Brits surely found work in America, given how prized that British accent is in American MSM these days :). And also, if you were a resid...

Re: The Pinera administration 2.0

Yeah, I kind of tired of arguing with people consuming Russian propaganda about an evil Western plot. I was living in Ukraine at that time and some of my friends were in touch with their friends participating in the resistance forces. At the peak of the conflict, thousands of volunteers were supply...

Re: chile's migration crisis

Now in Santiago and the coast for a few days holiday. I am actually surprised how the demography has changed in two years. Went to Dominos and only the caja and manager was Chilean, the rest presumbly Hiatian or Dominican. I guess many are mire educated and willing to work hard then locals? Being fr...

Re: US cell phone use

If its only for a week get watsapp and skype. Then buy a sim card here for 3.000 peso, and then 1GB data for 30 days is 5.000 peso, with Entel this is. Worked well for the few weeks I have been here working.

Re: Security Concerns

If you got to run power to the camera, isn't wiring it easier in houses. Obviously industrially you'll have power sources all over your property anyway.

Re: Security Concerns

Bollards were fitted outside most shops in the United Kingdom in the 90s after ram raids became the normal. I couldn't believe it when I came here and they didn't even have them in front of cash machine entrances and petrol garages, although that's mostly changed. So its a logical affordable step to...
