Mangos in Chile where??
I hope I did the quote option correct. Still learning to use the forum.

If you've read my other posts, you will see that I still live in South Africa. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was now able to put up my location for you to see.

Re: Fruit available in Chile

I know tunas are priclypear. They grow in abundance in my yard and around where I stay. Do you perhaps know what are nisperos and lucuma in english? The natives around here sell tunas next to the road in buckets full. For 5 litre bucket, about 700 CLP. We also love papaya and mangoes. We stay very c...

Re: Please help - from South Africa

Thank you for the weblink. I was able to open it. My children were very shocked when they heard at how fast the Chileans speak.

I will try to do as in the Hulk movie. Sit with a dictionary in front of the computer. LOL

Re: Fruit available in Chile

Thanks. Persimmons are then more or less the same prize than in SA when in season. Just a thought: Two weeks ago we bought lots of avocados. I was getting tired of eating it and searched for other ways to consume it. Take 3 to 4 small avocados, 4 cups of milk, cocoa powder to taste and sugar / syrup...

Fruit available in Chile

Hallo to all again!! I was wondering the past few days after I've read the post about someone asking about Pepino fruit. With our visit last year in Chile we got addicted to it. We also loved the Chirimoya fruit. After our arrival back in South Africa we found Chirimoya at a fruit and veg market for...

Re: Please help - from South Africa

Thank you for the recent replies. We really want to start learning Spanish. The problem is that we live in the countryside. Here are no tutors. I am looking currently on the internet for study material to study ourselves at home. Because Chilean Spanish is little bit different in pronunciation, I am...

Re: Please help - from South Africa

Thank you for the links for the mining companies. I saw that they are in English, but as soon as you want to post your cv for South America region on some of the websites, for example AngloAmerican, it goes over to Spanish. I'm starting to think of sending the cv to the e-mail address on the "contac...

Re: Please help - from South Africa

Rasmataz, thank you for telling that purchasing property is straightforward, because it didn't sound that way from everything that I've read. I will look for info on property in Rancagua on this forum and contact the administrator. Tombi, I replied on your private message. I really appreciate all th...

Re: Please help - from South Africa

Thank you very much for your reply, Rasmataz. It is very much appreciated. We know of mining activity in Rancagua. How are prices for farms in that area? Do they have enough water for farming? We are used to drive 160km to and from work. South Africans are different from other nationalities. Once im...

We want a better future for our children as well as a safer country to live in. Some of you might already ...
