Re: Riots continue

One more thing. I would like my account deregistered. Last time I was not able to find out how to do it from the FAQ and ended up coming back. I have no interest in repeating same. I am asking to be deregistered via this thread as I want it perfectly clear that it is I who is asking for this and not...

Re: Riots continue

And Travers, you can sleep safe at night knowing that things are just as you would like. I will continue to read the forum and use the search function extensively but feel no need to add any more content. Charles, thanks for the valuable service that you provide and all the great info that you freel...

Re: Riots continue

PdC, I only got involved when the accusation was made that deleting non-troll and non-spam posts happens here. Relaity is - IT DOESN'T (except for what happened in the last hour). We will have to let admin sort it out. AFAIK, admin is not a "rightist" (though living the cuico life might be having a...

Re: Riots continue

Interesting how quickly the venomous character assassination gets out. Forum members can go over the history of my posts and decide to what extent your characterization of myself fits the bill. Since I've made less posts in four years that you in less than one, they equally can make up their own mi...

Re: Riots continue

Besides obvious spammers and trolls, please indicate where I deleted someone's post. This moderator BTW was here before the poster of the last reply or when otravers was deputized during my offline week after the earthquake. The only one I deleted was by mistake, a MarkF post, and I quickly pointed...

Re: Riots continue

You didn't "explain" anything, you were abruptly and entirely dismissive then went on a total non sequitur about Canada without addressing any of the facts in my entry, whose main focus was not even public vs. private but rather on the very uneven value of college education in the first place. I re...

Re: Riots continue

There was no debating on your part and my interpretation was that it was insulting. I've already made the admin aware of this. No debating? I countered your post quite nicely. So nicely in fact that you chose to delete it. Class act all the way dude! Feel free to delete this as well so everyone can...

Re: Riots continue

There was no debating on your part and my interpretation was that it was insulting. I've already made the admin aware of this. Because I quoted your post and wrote, "This is gibberish"? Give me a break. After all the stuff that gets said in this forum you deleted my post because the worst thing I s...

Re: Riots continue

I will be contacting the forum administrator. There was no bad language, no anger in my response. You chose to delete it why? Be a man and debate rather than deleting a post that was not impolite. Should it not be reinstated then I guess I am out of this forum. Yup. You are a great man OTRAVERS. Thi...

Re: Riots continue

It seems as if many people have little understanding of Chile's history or politics or culture. I will just add a few thoughts to ponder....El Mercurio famously took millions of dollars from the CIA (check the US Freedom of Information) in exchange for printing propaganda. The very same family toda...

Re: Is burglary prevention possible?

Only 13% of Chileans express high trust in their fellow citizens, much less than the OECD average of 59%. Low trust is very strongly associated with high income inequality, which is also very strong in Chile.
