Re: The Obama Administration

“Not really, yet. Is he an Bohemian Grover? Romney is one. They all seem to love the Bohemian Grove and getting down and dirty. Did you know the Mormon leader who ended polygamy was a Bohemian Grover? Picture these politicians, all of them, getting together, naked, banging on a drum, and cheering at...

What an unbelievable discussion this Topic “the Obama Administration” as well as other topics on U.S. leadership post carries with the likes of you, such as Vickie and Greg Lansen, Ripsigg, Jhyre and others’ thoughts of current presidential characters. Vickie you are undoubtedly inept of knowing cur...

Re: running electrical in both 220 and 110?

I haven't bothered to read the entire thread but the gist of what Px said is correct. I have however, done what the original poster asked about and have found it to be a very valuable feature in my house. While we were in the framing stages (back in 09) of my place in region V I told my Chilean ele...

Re: running electrical in both 220 and 110?

I agree with what has been said above. But I understand your desire to have both voltages. I have a number of step-down transformers and they are a bit ugly scattered about the house. If you are wiring from scratch and money isn't an issue for you, it is possible (but not cheap) to have both types ...

Re: running electrical in both 220 and 110?

. In the course of looking up solutions, reliability data, and whatnot for a wind turbine solution for your situation, I came upon some studies done in Holland -- certainly a windy place much of the time -- by a government agency we will charitably call the Dutch Patagoniax, or Captain Bringdown. T...

Re: running electrical in both 220 and 110?

Question: what minimum wind current does a good wind generator need to start rotation for minimum revolutions? Depends on the turbine. Should we presume you wish to purchase in Chile rather than importing your own? A supplier in Pto Montt, perhaps known to admin, shows several models from SWWP - fo...

Re: running electrical in both 220 and 110?

My wife and I are moving back to Chile from a family care assignment in the States this past year. I have been absent from the Forum activity and found this Topic which hopefully can assist. We too desire to build our previous planned home on a new land site that has limited public electric services...

Re: Which bank do you prefer?

First, It has come to our attention to stay away from HSBC; not only from reported possible violations, but that I don’t trust these days ANY bank that is predominantly anchored in New York. Here is a report >>>”LONDON—The U.S. unit of HSBC Holdings PLC is being investigated for possible violations ...
