Nice present for overseas family

Hi,
I live in Santiago and I am travelling to europe soon.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with gift ideas.

Just in case anyone suggest it. I am looking for something more refined that the Wooden Mapuche figurine that shows it's genitals when you grab it.

Thanks.

Re: Psychologist in Santiago

Guys, I know that many psychologists are just positive thinker, put your head on my shoulder and cry style charlatan. Universities in France produce thousands of Psy every year, who are not passionate in that field but need to get a diploma of whatever sort, even if the job market does not exists. I...

Re: Certificado de Dirección Particular

My HR manager told me that they need this certificado de residencia (or whatever it's called) to protect themselves in case they need to send required legal information to the personal adress I provided them with. I will get a letter from my landlord and put my 'cara de frances' when explaining my c...

Certificado de Dirección Particular

Hi, I just got hired by a Chilean company. To write my contract I need to provide them with a 'Certificado de Dirección Particular' from the carabineros de Chile. I am renting a room in Santiago but without rental contract. Before I go and wait 3 hrs at the Police station, can anyone tell me if ther...

Re: What They Really Think of You

I so agree with Penquista de Corazon. One sentence that was overused by the French president Nicolas Sarkozy (one more year to go with him); 'If the migrants don't like it in France, then they can leave' Is that all we expect from migrants, to shut-up and behave like robots. Here in Chile, if there'...

Palm Oil and rainforest destruction

Hi, I wanted to add my stone to a fight that I believe is little known in this part of the world. The massive deforestation going on in Indonesia, Malaysia and in the island of Borneo, driving species such as the orang-utan close to extinction. This deforestation is mainly due to Palm tree plantatio...

Re: The Obama Administration

Something I like about the publicly founded healthcare system is that I don't have to think about which insurance to get, which clinic I can and can't go to, and should I get a health insurance in the first place or save the monney hoping that nothing will go wrong. In France everyone's covered unde...

Re: As in the movies

The story of Fraggle092 involving shooting made me wonder if many people have guns here in Chile?
Is gun related violence something not so uncomon?
