Re: Canada announces tourist visa changes for Chileans

Confirmed today on arriving that the Canadian flag is gone and no reciprocity fee. AA did manage to leave BOTH our suitcases in Miami, this after a two hour delay resulting in a missed connection in MIA and then another hour delay on the next flight... oh well, we made it in the end.

Re: Canada announces tourist visa changes for Chileans

There was a thing in El Mercurio today which said the reciprocity fee for Canadians will be lifted once a "decreto supremo" is signed within the next 15 days. To be fair, the article indicated it would be signed within the next 15 days. It will depend on where the bureaucrat that signs it is from. ...

Re: Expoweed

let me be very clear to all foreigners that might come across this post, marijuana, for any purpose, is not legal in Chile. There is one, small, highly regulate experiment to grow medical marijuana. I want one that lets you remove at the same time, the camera plus the fixture that goes on the windscreen, as I imagine if I just remove the camera when leaving the car, some thief will see the fixture, guess I've put the camera in the glove compartment, and ...

Re: Dash cams in Chile??

Make sure you get an international license before you come. It is considered an official translation of your foreign driving license and can save some steps in case of an accident. I hadn't thought of that. I've driven in Chile numerous times and the car rental companies have always accepted a Cana...
