Responding to the email I received, here in Talca the city downtown was pretty much destroyed. the most damage by far came from tsunamis hitting the coast.

Thank you for the replies, I will be asking them for another visa so that it is an official change. I already had problems with it once and really want to avoid it.

Thank you for the replies but I didn't have taking it out of my name in mind and I still don't. It's already on every document I've ever had except for this Temporary Residence Visa and changing my name because they failed to print it on the visa sounds like much more of a hassle than getting a visa...
