Re: chile's migration crisis

Aymara dude. Study your geography. Of course, the Mapuches are the only native Americans who were not conquered by the Spanish. An aside, one time I was wandering around my digs in my usual manner with shades on and I heard a Chilean muttering something about chinos and japoneses appearing very Mapu...

Re: chile's migration crisis

Jeje, yeah the recent flood of fake tourists rubber stamped onwards with no control so really ticked me off that I failed to register my new apartment address with PDI for the past two years as a personal form of protest against the much greater rule breaking going on. Finally got around to it when ...

Re: Banco Estado down

Another strange thing that just occurred to me. Just like "Paradise" California (a state deeper in shit then they realize) was recently destroyed by Mother Nature wildfires, the name of the town closest to the quake activity is what in English (given the less than three week time frame)?

Re: Banco Estado down

I remember the last time I got concerned when it was like two poles working off each other Navidad/San Antonio alternating with offshore Valpo.

Remember forumites, there are two sections of the plate in Chile that need to release, the far north and offshore Valpo.

Salud.

Re: Banco Estado down

Strange, I don't see a series of 3 pointers as aftershocks on the UC sismo site. To add to the story, in the past week, there have been a lot of small temblors offshore Navidad (SW of San Antonio) which is normal for this area. Then after around 24 hours of silence, this firm jolt which if this was ...

Re: Fresh milk and farmers cheese

Anyone know why the New Zealand cheddar that was sold under Soprole is no longer in Chile? And what is your go to affordable cheddar given this situation?

Re: Banco Estado down

Nothing to write home about but that MF temblor ruined my grocery shopping and withdraw at the ATM day (I could have verified the BE outage). I was in the cleaning products section at Lider when it hit, a sharp violent noisy up and down movement that knocked stuff off the shelves breaking and spilli...

Re: chile's migration crisis

Meanwhile, the UN Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner posted a transcript of a November 20 speech from Andrew Gilmour, Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights, I notice in almost all these articles the ID of this "High Commissioner" at the UN is never named. Think she learned well of ...
