Re: LAN strike or something like that

Regarding national flights, I was impressed by my Jetsmart flight SCL-LSC which happened a couple of days after the LATAM strike began. Bought in advance with luggage and seat allocation for less than a cama bus to La Serena.

Re: LAN strike or something like that

Just flew LATAM 602 SCL-LAX, no problems with this international flight and in addition the ETOPS problem with Boeing 787 Dreamliners has not caused changes for this route but you will notice that the entire flight hugs the land mass instead of being over water. SYD and AKL flights are affected by t...

Re: chile's migration crisis

Seems the intent of the article is to actually promote the "Arab Sping" agenda throughout this hemisphere. Re: renewing US passport by mail

Does anyone here know if a photo from one of those built-in laptop webcams, is good enough for a passport photo? Be careful here but I did my own and was not rejected but YMMV. Used a point and shoot digital cam and followed the instructions EXACTLY for dimensions and other criteria. Printed out in...

Re: chile's migration crisis

Now wait for the protests by Haitians and Venezuelans in the streets of Santiasco. Problem I see is the perhaps the hundreds of thousands already illegally here will now have a shot at regularizing their status and in the case of Haitians, they will have a shot at a limited number of permanent resid...

Re: Baking Wholemeal Rye Bread Workshop

If I make it back to the States, my plan is to buy some sourdough starter culture and begin experimenting.

I have already gotten water kefir going and hope to expand into other beneficial fermented products.

Yes, the fortified flour crap is of definite concern, thanks for the advice.
