Re: Sources for Laptop Batteries in Chile

At this link: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=Asus+G551JW+battery I see both the cheap "no name" generics (fit in the USD $30 range) and the Battpit™ ones for USD $45. I had a couple of bad experiences with no name batteries (like inflated, or o...

Re: Sources for Laptop Batteries in Chile

Charles, I know what you mean, but sometimes people make things difficult. I was planning on sending it to Transexpress in Miami and they would transport it to Chile. If the battery is with a computer, they are ok with that. But if it is alone, then they will flag it.

Re: Sources for Laptop Batteries in Chile

No it's for an Asus G551JW. My 2007 MBP is still working and so is the replacement battery in it. But I don't use it much anymore.

Sources for Laptop Batteries in Chile

Hey all, does anyone know of any good sources for getting replacement batteries in Chile? I looked on MercadoLibre and the price someone was offering was very expensive. While Amazon has the battery I need, they won't ship it here. The freight forwarder that I use won't sent the battery to Chile eit...

Re: Shipments into Chile since the protests

M: When in the 9th region (2009 - 2014, rural area, 60 km inland from Temuco), any sort of shipment from Amazon was nightmarish, regardless of DHL using Blue Express, UPS using Chilexpress, Correos, or otherwise. Here in Valpo, not a single problem. The cheapest route these days from Amazon is usua...

Re: Shipments into Chile since the protests

A long time ago, I was stiffed by FEDEX via Starken (then Tur-Bus) with a huge ripoff delivery fee of can't remember $20.000 o $25.000 for a small order from Other World Computing. So far, I have not received any extra fees for my November Amazon orders besides clearly broken out by Amazon shipping...

Re: Shipments into Chile since the protests

Amazon order using cheapest slowest shipping. Deprisa was the shipping company and they too hand off to Chilexpress after clearance at SCL. As this order was above US$30, it required an import fee deposit of US$20. Order placed November 21st, entered and cleared Aduanas yesterday, received this mor...

Rune,

I saw this before and meant to make a post.

Really nice work. Are you still making flutes? If so, just Indian Bansuri flutes?

Re: ATM fee

For an update on this long thread (will be 10 years this coming July 2019),

What banks/cards/networks are not charged fees or refunded fees? I am talking about an international transaction fee or an atm fee that your bank may charge you. Like mine does. :(
