My only scheduled travel will be to Isla de Pascua at the end of January. I hope that works out ok.
Why wouldn't it?
Just because I am sure they will want to see my ID... which will be expired at that point...

Work Visa Expires Soon, Awaiting Temporary Visa

Hello. My work visa expires on January 11, 2019. I got married in Chile to a Chilean woman on January 20, 2018 and filed for a temporary spousal visa in late October 2018. Tracking the mail shows that it was received and picked up in Plaza de Armas on November 5, 2018. However, the Auto Consulta web...

Re: How to apply for residency when married to a Chilean?

Jeez, I'm blind... sorry. Obviously I know the site. I have a work visa. But I had clear instructions from my employer. However, I've finally found the section I needed on the site. I understand for those of you that have done it...you've been there and done that. But for me, it was not so clear... ...

You probably want to go straight to official documents and websites for your main source of how to do this, and just look at these kinds of articles to add a bit of colour.

Re: How to apply for residency when married to a Chilean?

Why do americans think the u.s. embassy does anything? The only u.s. embassies that do anything are in hollywood. I knew I'd get some crap for that... haha. The only time i we have seen a spouse based visa denied is when someone did something really, really wrong with the application (like try to f...
