Re: Quarentines and fines

They are upping the penalties for breaking quarantine. up to 50 million pesos (yea, that is about $60,000 u.s.) and jail time. So they will gather in 13.1 million dollars in fines from last night then will they? Over 200 caught breaking curfew, so true figure is a lot higher probably. Another half ...

well, seems many politicians, led by Trump, in the united states are willing to conduct a suicide experiment to save the economy (it won't save the economy, if you don't fix the problem). https://amp.usatoday.com/amp/2905175001 https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/03/23/politics/coronavirus-texas-social-di...

Re: Curfew nation wide 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

After a couple of weeks of lock-down I'm sure we will have similar discussions about economic survival of the working age population against the lifes of the senior and impaired population. I'm not looking forward to this discourse. A couple of weeks? The economic survival discussion is already hap...

Re: Curfew nation wide 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

And considering how many ignorant little millenials are out there think they should be able to do what they like and damn everyone else (even their own grandparents). Come on, the youngest millennials are 24 now (1996) while the oldest ones (1981) are turning 40 next year! 👴 Most partying people sh...

Re: Curfew nation wide 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

At first glance, this curfew doesn't seem justified to me. I think it's an unjustified imposition on freedom. Where is the sense in it? It's not like the virus spreads more at night? Just closing bars and restaurants and ordered not to gather in the streets of groups of larger than a certain number...

Re: coronavirus (COVID-19) in Chile

What the hell is the point of lockdown at night if you then get this shit the next morning, hundreds of people crowding metro and bus stops. Full lockdown for Santiago is only hours or days away I would guess with situations like this. https://www.biobiochile.cl/noticias/nacional/region-metropolita...
