Re: Leaving Venezuela

RE: UN passports: they don't exist, but there's an UN travel document that's issued for refugees only. I've seen one in loco in Brazil, when I met an Iranian journalist that we a political refugee there. It has two diagonal lines at the top and it's very easy to differentiate from a common passport.

Re: Leaving Venezuela

This topic has roused my interest, so I got in touch with some contacts in Colombia to get a feeling about what's currently being done. Re: My horror encounter with German investors in Chile

If this is real and his wife is really a Brazilian nurse with papers in order to work in Chile, she can get a Visa Mercosur. Your contact is worth the paper it's written on, so jump out and move to somewhere better.

That is, of course, assuming this is true.

I am not sure how you plan to pay back this debt (plus whatever interest accrues) and would be interested to know how this would work. She won´t and I can bet you anything, anything you want. This is what´s going to happen.....hear me out. She´ll go thru the International Police like an innocent wh...

You can find do the calculation at this website to get the numeric answer: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/201 ... lator.html

There's also a perceived value/perception part to that question, but that's up to you to think about.

Re: Philanthropy Starting In Chile

It's a commendable attitude to want to help others. Good for you. One thing I would like to say is that Chile is not that poor a country and therefore the community and the government will already be able to take care of themselves to a large extent. So if you want to spend a few thousand dollars t...

2500€ is almost 2 million pesos, actually. But yeah, there's always a disconnect between wages and the interest rates.

Re: Chile Wealth, Inequality, and International rankings

The actual numbers are different based on your lifestyle. I was actually crushing some numbers this week, as I wanted to see how expensive Portugal was when compared to Chile in order to get the same quality of life (spoilers: about 250€ more expensive per month) and I would be spending CLP $1.300.0...

Bolsonaro won due to him running against the PT guy in the second run: he would've list in all other scenarios. I'll post a more detailed breakdown later today, as well as some notes about his plans for regional politics. So Bolsanaro is promising to the masses that he won't be accepting any sorts ...
