Re: Looking for apartment in Santiago

Honestly, it is pretty difficult finding a corredora who will rent to you without all the BS documents that they ask for, dicom, work contract, AFP, etc. It really is ridiculous. You just have to inquire and hope to find somebody competent who understands that some people work remotely.

Re: Chile: second run

Actually, I really appreciate if anyone could share their experiences with SII terms of getting the ball rolling (inicio de actividades). I'll start soon, but I'm a bit unsure in terms of what to expect. I did that a long time ago (2011). I don't remember much, other than it not being very difficul...

Re: appointments at Registro Civil to renew ID

Quick question on this point: is it possible to renew your cédula at any registro civil, or does it have to be at the one nearest to where you live? The government's website wasn't really helpful on this. I live in Santiago, but registered my perm residency certificate and renewed my cedula in Conc...

You can find everything you need with a quick google search. There are several websites with practice tests with all the questions from the test bank used for the exam.

If you have to be sold on Chile then it is probably not the place for you. You need to visit and decide for yourself.

Re: The new constitutional vote and the social crisis

What is the difference between the PSU and say the SAT or ACT in the states?

I understand it is an entry exam for University, but not sure as to their reasoning for protesting it.

Re: Chile: second run

I have asked for a time with PDI on November 27 to register my visa, and I haven't heard from them ever since. Does anybody know how long does it take for them to schedule you a time? I've double checked on their website already to make sure I hadn't missed an email from them, and my wife is in the...

Re: Chilean government Immigration "appointment" system

Chiming in on this thread: I've recently requested an appointment through PDI's website, but I haven't heard back from them since 3 weeks ago. I've checked their website already to make sure it didn't go to my spam box, they really haven't assigned me a cita yet. Has anyone registered their visa at...
