Re: Mandatory quarantine requirements for all travelers to Chile (UPDATED)
So to be clear, residents and citizens must show a 72 hour neg PCR test to board and if positive that resident or citizen is locked out of Chile? It takes 3 to 7 business days just to get the results from the test back, so not sure how anyone will be able to return. I am sure it differs from city t...

Re: Setting up a (non-RUT) bank account
Hello all, I'm due to move to Chile in February (from the UK) and was hoping someone could help with a couple of queries. I trawled the internet until I found this Forum and have also been searching through previous posts but can't seem to find a definitive or recent answer. From what I have read, ...

Re: Income Tax on Foreign Income
So what is the tax residency then? I was under the impression that having been any sort of resident in Chile, either temporary or permanent, that you are required to pay taxes on foreign income sources as well as chilean.

Re: Income Tax on Foreign Income
I would be interested to know more about this as well. What is the policy for permanent residents who are working overseas and who are in Chile only a few weeks of the year? I would imagine you are going to have trouble when you need to renew your carné, as if I recall correctly, during a 5 year pe...

Re: WARNING: Department of Immigration online web site
The sheriff in my state didn't even require fingerprints. Don't forget to have it apostilled by the state before going back to Chile! So today I went to my "local police" here in the US for the fingerprint scan as part of a background check. For the state of Missouri (where I am from and where I'm c...
