Re: LAN strike or something like that

The strike affects mostly national flights but they have some silly software: my flight from Valdivia was cancelled and because of that they automatically cancelled my ticket for international flight. I was going to take a bus to Santiago for it... Ended up buying tickets from another company, also...

Re: Transferring money

Noticed some changes today on transferwise. The main one was $500 limit for Chile for daily transaction. I got a reply from the support: the $500/day limit is temporary, their Chilean bank has some technical difficulties. It's up to about $600 US now, with about a 2% fee. As of this week... Nice to...

Re: chile's migration crisis

Interesting list, but has it been cross-checked against visitation/tourism rates, drug-related murders, former citizens of said country (now US citizens) or their US-born descendants whacked while engaged in the local drug trade, etc.?

Yes ,chile does continue to amaze... Re the very high heels - yes they are very bad for the health and, IMO, not very comfortable... Re the carabineras - I actually admire them for being turned "impeccable" It makes me think they take pride in their work. Latam girls as well.... (although they can ...

Re: Investing in International Stock Markets from Chile

Re: BCG Vaccine

While the underdeveloped countries are literally diluting the vaccine to 20% of its normal dosage in desperate attempts to protect their populations, the privileged are traveling to endemic areas without protection and risking bringing yellow fever back to the US. And it's interesting that 72 count...
