Super Full Snow Moon

Visible right now, for anyone with a clear sky in their neighborhood. Very picturesque view from Puerto Varas, over the lake!

Re: Identify this snake, spider, and one other animal

Booking a flight on American Airlines website from within Chile

I went on to the AA website, which automatically redirected me to the ".cl" version. It accepted the points of destination and return( In this case, LAX and EZE respectively). and the departure date, but the return date field appeared frozen. I can't find any way around this, or a way to access the ...

Re: Getting a Chilean Driving License

Notice too, the bike was PASSING ON THE LEFT, not only within the lane , but the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lane. Totally illegal, and not where a car driver would expect him to be. (California recently legalized lane splitting for motorcycles, but between traffic lanes, not the #1 lane and the ce...

Re: Transferring money

Clarification --- FBAR requirement kicks in when the SUM OF ALL foreign financial accounts exceeded even for a second anytime during the year a fraction of a cent over $10,000 USD. Has nothing to do with the KYC paperwork the banks do "on your behalf" or their "suspicious" reports when you do trans...

Re: Transferring money

Remember, it all starts with Schedule B which just asks the question if you have ANY financial account regardless of amount. Then, if you meet the $10,000 requirement you must file the separate FBAR online to FINCEN. Then there is FATCA if you fall within the requirements to file. Then there are th...

Re: Chile Residency, Citizenship, tourism and Criminal records

There are all sorts of FBI " channelers" on the internet that say it can take as little as 72 hours. Also private companies to process apostilles. It seems to me if it is important these things can be expedited. Also my understanding of the FBI background check shows all ARREST records, not just co...
