No you hold back the final 50% and IVA till the factura is delivered, that´s the lesson learned.
But that doesn´t help for example someone on a business trip who has to pay in full for their accommodation on the spot. Most hotels and accommodation providers want full payment up front.

Simple... Wanting goods or services you get a price and ask, "Do you issue facturas?" They reply, "Yes" and often want a 50% deposit or payment for materials so you´re committed. It´s Illegal where I come from, the max is 10%. They deliver, you pay them and then it can go pear shaped in various ways...

Out of the UK, no 30.000 monthly fee, lower commission (2.5%) and it´s a great system. You buy the machine and it´s yours.

Yes there´s a killing made on IVA but it´s certainly not watertight. There are plenty of IVA scams going on. The most common is factura promised but never delivered and the IVA pocketed. There´s a lot of that, the thinking being "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush", hang the reputation.

It dawned on me the other day that Chile would be far more wealthy and develop a lot faster if it imposed all its existing laws. Take for example tax collection. I´ve no idea what proportion of the population lives quite comfortably without paying tax their entire lives, many many self employed maes...
