Re: New Zealand

I can only agree 41. As an Australian he went to the most culturally similar country to access the weapons he knew he couldn´t buy in Australia. They were bought back and turned into scrap by the government (the owners were fully compensated) and then banned in Australia after the Port Arthur massac...

Re: New Zealand

" I think a lot of people will look around now in Christchurch and maybe think a little bit differently now."
Well said 41.... As one who takes people as I find them regardless of colour, creed or country, I´m still in a bit of a fug over it all.

Re: Looking to hire a car near villarrica

If you come by this hotel I can point you to a good reasonably priced one nearby, daily rates etc. Our guests have used them and we´ve had no complaints.

Re: electric vehicles in chile

Funny, sorta like road kill... It won´t be out on roads, just here in streets. With a top speed of only 45kph take it out on the highways and byways frustrated drivers´d be chucking rocks at it.

Re: electric vehicles in chile

Hahaha... as I said, a bit of fun. Only the Truck R3 range can be registered for the road in Chile and with a top speed of 45kph only an idiot would attempt to go any serious distance, turbulance from a truck or bus´d probably blow it into the weeds. Range depends on how big a bank of batteries you ...

Re: electric vehicles in chile

Depends what they´re actually counting as an electric vehicle. www.smartcargo.cl Got it from the the horses mouth the Santiago Municipalidad just bought the entire next shipment of the Truck R3 1.8 which lands late this month. I didn´t ask how many it was but the business is doing very very well. Th...

Re: The Chile Eclipses Thread

I´m with you on the above Charles. The easiest for us to sample are our Booking.com guests of which only 52% are from Chile. Of the rest most are from Latin American countries followed by Europe. The vast majority of the non Latin American guests are experienced travellers on 4 - 8 week trips trying...

Re: The Chile Eclipses Thread

Had to laugh at those hotel rates up North, they price themselves out then wonder what went wrong. We´ll be charging our normal 2020 rates come the eclipse. We´ve already had an enquiry from a university in the US bringing a party of 20-30 people and if they fill the hotel we´ll be happy with that.
