Sounds like a business opportunity!

What about contacting a shelter and asking to provide a group of the most cuddly residents in exchange for some donation?
was thinking that! I know that the ñuñoa shelter takes in volunteers! could be an option! wish there was a dog cafe tho!!! :(

Dog cafe????!!

Hi.. I know this is a dumb post, but here it goes anyway.. I am aware of at least one cat cafe in Santiago, where cat lovers can hang out with the felines that they love, and socialize. My question is, is there a dog cafe or any place where a dog lover can hang out with a lot of dogs. The reason I a...

Getting PDI Certificate from different city.

Hey all.. From what I heard, getting an appointment from the PID for a "Certificado de vigencia de permanencia definitiva" might take weeks to months for extranjeros who live within Santiago!! (i might have heard here) that it is possible to go to another city and wait in the queue and get this done...

is this only for Santiago, or for the whole country? I remember seeing that if one were to go outside of Santiago, you can get the tramit done at a regional PDI office?

Nacionalidad! Application process and questions regarding the little tit-bits!

There has been quite a few in-depth discussions about getting citizenship and the caveats involved with the whole process. Since the doors are open to me, I figured I would open a thread with my own concerns so as to calm my anxiety a bit. The Specifics I am from a small island nation in South Asia ...

Re: Paying taxes for work done internationally

You just issue your boletas to a universal RUT for these purposes. In "My SII": "Emitir boleta de honorarios electrónica", click "Por contribuyente" (as usual, I suppose). Select the second option "El contribuyente emisor será quien se encargue del pago provisional mensual correspondiente al 10%." ...

Paying taxes for work done internationally

Hi.. I have been living here in Chile for the last 5 or so years, and have a stable contract job with contributions and everything else in order. Since recently, I have started to supplement my income by doing some off the hours work (I am a 3d artist). For all the work I do within Chile, I issue bo...

Re: Moving soon to Chile - what foods can be brought

Well. Last time I came through the customs, I had a load of cooked food, ground and non ground spices. I filled the form saying I had "food made from plans". They wanted me to see one of my luggages because they saw seeds via the xray. The girl very kindly told me that I cannot take the red chilli w...
