Enough of the inevitable conflicts of interest. Stop the prevarication...sell your businesses and place the proceeds in a "blind trust".

Sell the Business, Not the Presidency, Mr. Trump

I was watching a programme on the BBC the other night where four OAP's (old age pensioners) are travelling the world sampling what's on offer for those of their age group, which were between 65 and 75. They were in Florida and had a look at two gated communities.

It brought home to me the stark differences that exist between those that do have it, and those have struggled along in life working hard and now reaping the benefits of their endeavours.

Those that had it, and had it in plenty, were 100% Trump, and booringly so in once case, shouting down any opposition and nobody had any right to consider anybody else. The other ? - all mixing in together and any differences not really discussed, too busy living their lives in what seemed really pleasant surroundings. All four British OAP's much preferred the buy your own property at $150,000 and paid $150 a month service charge to the $2 million plus properties of the rich and their $85000 a year charges purely because the people were more real and down to earth.

Appeared to be very out of touch some of these people at the upper end of the market, locked away in their artificial world and the ones likely to gain from Trumps presidency, and the rest, well I suppose they will get along ok without the expensive social whirl, facelifts and all the other trappings of wealth.

Just seems there is a wide divide in the land of the free, and more surprisingly was the fact that at the cheaper end of the market there were people of all colours and sexual genders, whereas at the other end of the scale it was 100% white and heterosexual where such subjects are apparently never discussed.

A bit of an eye opener. The celebs have tried India already and are off to Japan next week. They are an ex professional darts player, a tv chef, a retired ballet dance and a radio and tv actress who is truly one of a kind, so a it of a mixed bag. An entertaining, and informative hour, which makes a change.

Conspiracy or conspiracy theory? Had to do a double take when reading this article as it is short on facts and full of conjecture and innuendo -- the kind of article one would expect to be published by Inforwars or Zero Hedge.

Donald Trump was bailed out of bankruptcy by Russia crime bosses

CNN is reporting that US Intel chiefs have issued a two page synopsis (annex) to their published findings about Russia's hacking involvement in the presidential campaign. CNN reports that included in this synopsis are allegations that Trump campaign surrogates were communicating back and forth with Russian government intermediaries during the campaign and also that Russian sources claim they have compromising personal info on Donald Trump. Neither the US Intel agencies nor the Trump transition team have yet commented on the veracity of these allegations. Stay tuned.

Trump's supposed Twitter response, "Fake News, it's a political witch hunt".

Footnote: should have indicated that the two-page synopsis was shared with Obama, Trump and Congressional Intel select committee members.

CNN? Oh, yes, the Clinton News Network. Very reliable.
And the intel chiefs are competent, and not biased.
And we know exactly what they said so we can verify its legitimacy.

I still think he is a crackpot, but he appears to be a lot more crafty than many (most?) people think he is:

The source is not important; the veracity of the data is.

What, you mean like the Guardian? Has that newspaper come out in comic book form yet?

I wonder if Trump relation with the press will be similar to the one of ex-Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and limit the access of the press? Will journalists have to submit their questions ahead of time for approval?

Harper Holds Another Unpublicized, Exclusive Media Conference

'Those invited were asked to submit three questions days ahead of time, then told which ones they could ask the Prime Minister'

But he seems to like better Putin's approach:

On Friday, Trump pushed his support for Putin even further, apparently endorsing the violence against journalists that has become routine in Russia with a glib comment: "At least he's a leader."

... the number of unsolved killings soared after Anna Politkovskaya's murder in Moscow on 7 October 2006.
