Nah! it was a lot of work on my part as well. I read, investigate and asked many questions. In other words I prepared myself. Things don´t come to me on a silver platter...ever. I have to work hard for whatever I accomplish in this life and in some instances the stars are aligned in my favor.
You need to remember that.....
1) I'm a certified, bonafide and qualified citizen.
2) I speak, read and write fluently Spanish and Chilean dialect.
3) I'm charming when I need to be and straight forward.
4) And most of all I have lots of wisdom!

Thank you very much for all your replies. The murkiness of the banking process now makes sense!

I think there are nice properties available for $40K or less with 5,000m2 in very desirable areas, but I guess that depends on your idea of desirable. For me that's surfing. The other challenge is find good maestros to build the house, which can be 100 million or more, unless you do it yourself.

$40K for 5,000m2 piece of land


George, thought you buying much more hectares of land but 1/2 of hectare, surely can be had for less than US$40K depending where you are buying. But I hear the Maestros of Chilitolandia, take your money and disappear ! So you better pay them by the portion of house built..Ask admin for much detailed process.
