Popular HGTV show is looking for homebuyers in Chile

Postby EricAlonso on Mon Oct 30, 2006 10:18 pm

Hi everyone,

I am a Producer with the Home & Garden Television (HGTV) show, "House Hunters". I am writing to let you know that we're giving homebuyers and realtors in Chile an amazing opportunity to be featured on the hit TV show. House Hunters, in its seventh season, has 84 million viewers world-wide. Are you a potential homebuyer, or a realtor currently working with an English speaking homebuyer? Perhaps you can share your story with us on international television.

HOUSE HUNTERS takes the audience behind the scenes of what may be the biggest financial and emotional purchase of someone's life. From touring open houses to making offers, each half-hour episode of HOUSE HUNTERS highlights the real experience of finding and purchasing a new home.

As the featured realtor the time commitment to tape an episode is three days. As the subject of the show the time commitment is five days. A free copy of the show is given to both realtors and homebuyers and monetary compensation given to you for your participation.

Please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions, or simply want more information. Thank you.

I have been talking to him

I have been exchanging emails with him. So far, so good. By the way, no responce to my last email.

They are looking for someone that speaks English who has already bought a house, and a real estate agent that speaks English, along with 2 similar houses that they can film in. That is fairly strick setup, that will be hard to fill in southern Chile.

I guess that is on some level what is so appealing about southern Chile, the lack of stamped out track homes and gated communities. Not really our market. Almost everyone we encounter is looking for land, then to build.

Perhaps, one idea might be some of the guys around the forum here that are looking to buy land then have one of the prefab homes placed on the land.

i think that having an ungated community far surpasses a gated community. it gets overly crowded, noisy, traffic gets terrible, and it's not as peaceful as you once use to remember it to be.
