Chile Forum

We did it!

August 28th 2007 the forum will be one year old.

Current count is around 150+ users and growing, and about 2700 posts in the first year.

I think we have a winner.

In honor of the first year, gifts are in order.

In addition to the recently added photo gallery, I have added a Chile Wiki.

Also on the way shortly will be the addition of a live chat feature to allow everyone to talk in real time.

More features are on the way.

Last year the goal was to modestly get a forum operational.

This year I think a modest goal would be to keep building the community, and turn allchile.net in to the premier source for finding information about living in Chile.

It looks like we might do it. We might break 200 users and 3,000 posts or at least get real close by the 28th of the month.

By the way for the curious, the 28th of August is the day I registered the administrator account, so I am using it as the birthday of the forum. Really it was not much of a forum until a real user showed up and left something besides spam.

Thanks to everyone again for making it happen.

I am doing the memory lane thing here, and it is really interesting to see how many members signed up in like the first month or two the forum was up and are still with us on an almost daily basis.

There was like nothing on the forum back in Sept 2006.
