I have searched this forum for information on this subject but cannot find anything. Maybe Chas or anybody else could help. I was talking to a friend the other day about moving to Chile very soon. She is coming with me and said that she might have a problem getting her money out of Brasil in order to move to Chile.
My question is: If I move to Chile and buy a house for example, and decide after a time that I want to move back to Australia, sell up, maybe even make a profit, what, if any, difficulties would I face?

There is nothing special, unless it is on the Australia end of things.
We resell properties for clients all the time, and the funds are just wired out of the country to their accounts.
Really it has been much easier to get money out, than to get money in to Chile because of the money laundering compliance rules (thanks to the U.S.A. banking laws Chile must meet).
