Did I say ban the crap?

I called it evil. If Coca Cola has a right to call themselves good then I have a right to call them evil. If capitalists have a right to say how great their products are then, I have a right to say how much they suck.

You do believe in free entrprise, don't you?

I stopped eating any form of refined/processed sugar probably about 8 years ago, and a lot of the damage it did seems to have disappeared. It took maybe 2 days for the addiction to wear off (you have to quit COMPLETELY), and after that it didn't require any effort other than occasionally reminding myself. The hardest part was finding things I could eat that didn't contain any form of the evil narcotic-like substances.

Where do you draw the line with outlawing stuff? Is it ok to push an addictive narcotic-like substance on unsuspecting young children (or adults), that will lead to numerous health problems?

They get away with aspartame, sucralose, fluoride, the carb-based food pyramid, demonizing all fats as equal, pharma ads everywhere you turn, doctor/allopathic medicine worshipping shows, endocrine disrupting chemicals to pack our food/drink, food additives/fillers/colorings of unknown long-term effects, cell towers and similar near centers of growing human minds and bodies, etc. so not hard to see how all this gets a pass in corpogov run USA and other parts. :alien:

I remember reading somewhere that the guy who originated the current US policy on nutrition (or something like that anyway), is the same guy who ran a company in Nazi Germany that manufactured the stuff they used for gassing the Jews. So yeah, it's not hard to see how this could happen :(

Yeah, that's another one:) I never watch it, but occasionally see it when someone else is. And it's mind-numbing.

Speaking of lameass TSA copycats in other countries, one can usually smuggle water pass the gate checkers onto your US bound plane at SCL if you stick it deep down and hidden in your carryon or wear a long shirt or jacket and stick it in your back pocket.

It's apparently international, not just US. According to this, the same people who owned the Auschwitz death camp, are the ones responsible for international food policies.

Yes of course, call them as evil as you want. I'm not talking about the "right" to do something. I'm just saying give up on the attitude that blames (whether partially or fully) advertising and low prices for you drinking too much Coke. I think people mistake rights with should too much.

I don't think the word evil is used indiscriminately. I believe Coca cola plays a significant role in more deaths than Pol Pot ever did. It and it's fizzy sugary drink brothers are a leading cause of diabetes and a myriad of other obesity related diseases. I spent 38 years drinking it, more than I should have and I was as close as a fellow could get from dying from the stuff. I maybe had three or four more years with blood sugars higher than 600, but really I could have died at any moment. I rejected the stuff and the damage the Coke did to me is irreversible. When I see Coca Cola, I see evil. It's an evil masquearding as an alluring and delicious way to make you feel good.

Oh yeah and I know some of you are thinking that I brought it on to myself by drinking the stuff, I did do that. I was the one who drank it and no one forced me to, but the truth is that advertising played a part in it as did its pricing, often cheaper than drinking water and most of all its availibility. They give you free refills on Coca Cola everywhere. So while in a free market, Coca Cola is allowed to pimp its products, in a free market, people are also free to call out the evilness of the products and its corporate masters.

Didn't you once complain that the TSA folks in Japan took away all your Coca Cola?
