Ground water for irrigation .....water rights?

Postby rashermann » Mon Jun 18, 2012 4:20 pm

Is anyone aware of the derechos de agua "water rights" issues that im encountering with on my late father's property "fondo"?. If anyone has knowledge or has dealth with trying to prospect for water on property to grow crops, please help. If anyone knows the process to find out if i have "rights" and any reliable (geo) companies that have experience with finding water, help.

I was told once that "i may not have acess to ground water from aquifers because i dont have "rights".

Long and short of it, if you don’t know you have water rights beyond household use you probably don’t. You need a lawyer to go through the deeds and past deeds to the property, it will be in there or you don’t have right to commercially exploit the ground water, now to get the rights is another ball of wax, talk to Spencer Global.
It's all about the wine.
