I am trying to find a half-way decent photo lab anywhere in Chile who will do a good job on color prints and color negative processing. Have had only about one good experience with those typical Kodak and Konica labs that seem to be all over the place, and still was not hardly satisfied with the quality. There have been fingerprints on my negatives, lack of definition and contrast in the prints and poor, weak colors, flimsy paper etc. Every time I drop off a roll to be processed I have to say a little prayer to the gods of good photo fortune that they won't screw up and or ruin my precious negatives. I am using a Bessa rangefinder with a color 35 Skopar lense, so would really like to have some prints made that reflect the quality of the equipment I'm using. I'm in the south but would have no problem sending rolls of film by mail up to Santiago or elsewhere to have them done.

Any good experiences?

Also would be interested in knowing of any place that sells Black and White film or offers processing. Maybe too much to ask.

isnt kodak going bust? im sure my dslr has a black and white option

Kodak probably is going bust. That's why I am looking for a non Kodak place, some independent lab that will do good work.
