What is the Spanish word for " nitric acid"? I need to buy a small amount for a project, but can't seem to come up with the right words to find where to buy it.

Thanks,

Vicki

Now see...it seems I said something like that...but got the blank stare. Reminds me of my superglue buying fiasco a month or so ago. Maybe it's the volume of my voice! I will just write it down.

...I went to my friendly hardware store (the one that will not order my gallons of Nogal varnish until the small pints are sold out) and asked for Super Glue...then I used some other words like goma para plastico, and a bunch of other stupid ass words and gestures as I continued to get the blank stare. Then, I pulled out my pen and paper and drew a small tube, and wrote the words "super glue" on the tube. LIGHTBULB goes off! SUPER GLUE, the guys exclaims! And turned around and pulled a tube off the display card right behind him. Ja! Super Glue. Sometimes I just wanna go home and poke my eyes out!

I know that blank stare, very well! After years of being married to a chilean, every time I ask him to do something I get it. I wonder if my eyeballs are still there or I just think they are?

My son has even started doing it...It's like living with beings from another planet...OOOh quick, she's asking us to do something......give her the blank stare and she'll go away. And if we do it every time she asks us something, she might never, ever come come back!!!!!

His country and his father taught him well

homo erectis. Yeah, yeah, I know, I spelled it wrong. Maybe we can segway this into a comedy skit...

Husband/Boyfriend/Significant Other:

I think I will make dinner for you tonight!

Skeptical Wife/Girlfriend/Significant Other:

That's WONDERFUL! I can't believe how thoughtful you are!

And it goes like this...

Honey? Where are the pots and pans?

Skeptical Wife/Girlfriend/Significant Other goes into kitchen, opens a cabinet, pulls out a long fork and stabs herself to death.

End of Skit

Oh, that's too funny  But OMG, how it sounds like my life! I just didn't get to the big knife bit yet. Good job I've got a sense of humour because he's actually lovely in lots of other   ways.

We get up in the morning and he says "I'll make the tea, mi amor" puts the kettle on and sits down on the couch......end of story!!!! How did that big knife get in my hand and ...Oh my God, it's pointed right at his head

Other women are invited to join in....come on in, the door is open......

Spanglish, if you like the skit, you might love my screenplay for a movie called "Futalandia". You can find it here:

But just to be a good gal, I'll keep the thread question alive:

HOW DO YOU SAY "DEFAULT" IN SPANISH so this poor kid (post above) can get his parents to deposit money in his account!!!!!????

I'm not completely sure on the English here. It doesn't actually make sense to me as a sentence.
My husband is not here and I'm English but my dictionary says: as in (not act) faltar a sus compromisos, incumplir un acuerdo or una promesa. That is probably right off the wall but if it helps then I will be really happy :) However, I don't have much faith that it will. LOL

The sentence doesn't make sense to me either. Usually you'll be able to talk around a word. Ignite - perhaps you could explain what default means in the sentence and what you're trying to accomplish. What is the computer supposed to accomplish by defaulting? Are we talking your computer or the banks..?
