I'm wondering what the process is for bringing an animal to Chile and also if there is any chance that I will have trouble bringing him back into the US in a year or two? (He will be a indoor cat the whole time). Can anyone help me?

Don't think that is a problem, considering I own the sites the article is published on that show up in Google.
It is covered at length on the forum with more recent information.
one thing that is new and I am not sure that is covered in any of the threads yet, is that you have to have a chip implanted in your animal now. Which is not a major issue, since most animals from the States are chipped these days.
We had some clients that travel every year with their dog from the States, just reported that they had to have the dog(s) chipped this time. The dogs have done the trip several times a year for many years without ever being required to have a implant.
