I waas commenting on the title...vale callampa....which is in itself funny...I had not looked at the video but now that I have after your reply...I can say that the compilation is impressive...you can see of course the guanco and the zorrillo and something else they call the beecho which is in between the two....that is the state of things but usually only in the downtown area...I have seen it get this bad and traditionaly when people want to get out of hand for whatever reason that is where they get down....the wholesale violence against the carabineros in the video wold only be tolerated during Pinochet for but a few moments...it got that bad certainly and worse but no one was laughing and although there was time to disassemble the public works to build a barricade, there was not enough time to pull apart phone booths for the cash or attack kioskos just for the hell of it...
this to me is what happens when a small isolated "island culture" like CHile is exposed via tv, movies and the internet to what they the CHileans interprete as the way the rest of the world acts and so it becomes an over reaction...it doesn't help when socialogicaly chileans have in general a harder time submiting to authority.
Impressive video, i have seen get that way from the edge and I've been in the middle as well...it brings back some memories...i just remember it alot more in slow motion is all...wow...
