Request for pictures from Arica

Postby skyl4rk on Mon Apr 23, 2007 12:54 pm

For those in Arica, tombrad, how about some pictures of the neighborhoods, people, street scenes, the beach, etc. Especially neighborhoods that would be good for expat retirees.

I enjoyed the website: Living in Arica: A quick guide for would-be expats at http://www.infoarica.cl/expat.htm

how did you do that

Postby admin on Tue Apr 24, 2007 11:04 pm

nice. I thought I had disabled the img upload feature, but guess not. good thing the Russian spam bots did not get the memo.

When I get a breath, I want to add a gallery feature to http://www.allnorthernchile.com to allow users to post photos. We could really use some photos there. I might also add one to allchile.net, on the front so users can do general photo essays about Chile. Everyone seems to have there favorite piece of Chile. Would be nice to share.

I kinda found out by accident how to post pic's.

On the "DISABLE BB CODE in this post" box, unclick it so it's blank then just add the img and /img tags by clicking on the IMG button and presto!

So it's OK to post pic's?

Great photos and the above link! 8)

This gives me a good visual of Northern country. Much appreciated :D

May I ask, is this a place that you would like to live? Why or what appealed to you the most?

Thanks

Ok, ok, I will unleash the photo restrictions.

Give me a day or so to get everything cleaned up from the move, and I will remove the restrictions and post some instructions. Just be warned, there will be a hair trigger on the delete button if anything is too out of line. :(

Basically the good rule is, if you would not show it to your kids, don't post it on the forum.

It's warm ;-)

And on a strictly personal note I like the fact that Arica is more laid back than Stgo. or Valpo. I get tired of the pushy-shovey stuff and the crowds pretty quick. YMMV :-)

cheers.

Ah... I can relate to the laid back environment! Something to consider when looking for options.

Thanks for sharing.
