3 delicious eye fillet steaks, 2 sides, a bottle of wine, 4 agua con gas and a kids meal? Seems reasonable to me? Their steaks are really good.

It is like getting angry at a mentally disabled person because they were born that way. The same goes with the culture and social norms of Chile, you just can't change/improve it. I feel bad for the waiter who gets stiffed unless they are overtly rude or something (or almost kill you), they don't know any better and the typical customer probably doesn't expect any better here.

Parts of the culture are difficult to get used to. Just went out for lunch and half way through the meal a stray dog curled up under our table...WTF! Nobody gave it a second look. last year we were in Vina and the MacDonalds (ok we eat then on occasion) and 4=5 dogs laying in the shade among the tables. Nobody here thinks it is odd. What the heck, we love the climate and once you lower your standards it is pretty nice here....LOL

there steaks are good, i have been to the santa brasa a thte casino once.....

But for what they have... they are over priced...

NOW, best steaks and value for money i have had are from any restaurante in osorno!!!!! if your ever in osorno, just choose one, they are all good, and good value!

I do not like any of the restaurants in parque arauco... the chains put there prices up in the ones they have in the mall, the serivce is terrible, and its lleno con weones!
Plan N....... Back On track

Chileans don't critize other chileans openly(not without group cover). Not even if they think of them as dogs or it is a best friend asking for honet advice. It is a seriously ingrain passive agresive stripe in the culture.
