Frankly, I need more help at this. Everyone's help.

I discovered recently that the CL government allowed a former Brooklyn, NY, resident to settle in the Patagonia. I mean, WTF? Of course his first efforts were to compete with the degree of nefariousness of the locals, which is present in considerable abundance to start with.

Really, people, you don't want to come to the Patagonia to live, or even to overstay your guided-group visit. If you don't freeze and fall into a crevasse or get incinerated by the forest fires, or get rudely bitch-slapped by a penguin, you'll be trampled by baguales or savaged by the ubiquitous velociraptors. It just isn't worth it.

just like when you walk into a restaurant in some far corner of santiago where you hope not to see any gringos, you hear the loud gringo voice, you turn and look at the chilena, she turns looks back, you say nothing, you both turn around and leave!,

We was here first, stop invading :)

He he, whenever we come across some gringos, my husband and I do about the same, saying the gringos are taking over or invading. :)
