I think that admin popped this bubble, but it's worth saying again: that the lot of expats in this country is as enormously varied as its geography, ranging from lives of idleness and sloth on the northern beaches, to those running sheep ranches, and everything in-between.

You have your head up your arse. Gas-station fuel down here is about the equivalent of USD6.50 a GALLON, not a litre, for 93 octane gasoline. Varies a little depending on where you are.
