In case you decide to go with the Victoria’s Secrets suggestion, please post pictures… just to see if that was a good idea or not.

Besides the books you might also consider an antique map (obviously this is very personal and depends on the person). Together with the books this is something which will persist over time.

There is a nice La Serena map by Frezier from 1717 which should cost around USD 200 - 300, although admittedly I have seen it on offer for a couple of months.

Considering some earlier observation posted on this forum about Chilean's affinity to excessive use of perfume, a gift of perfume might be a good idea, or not?

NO!!!! Never buy perfume for a woman unless you know the one she likes and always uses and/or happen to be married to her.

what about just a prepaid visa gift card, then she can chose to buy what she wants or needs...
