If anyone out there knows where I can get those nifty fan/mister items I would love to buy one. Until then, I will continue to run through sprinklers.

I have one of those old fashioned folding fans that I keep with me at all times. I still can't get used to people dipping their heads in fountains to cool down on the street... It just seems so gross and unsanitary... but then again, my fiance's family leaves food out all night, even in the middle of summer, and they don't even bat an eyelash... I'm the weird one for storing my leftovers in Lock n' Lock containers inside of the fridge... hehe...

Oh! And I saw tampons in the store the other day! TMI, but I'll still have to have my mom bring me down a couple boxes of lights since they don't seem to sell boxes of JUST lights here (maybe they have them somewhere in Las Condes... but I live in Maipu and it seems easier to bring them here from the US than from Las Condes :p)

Forget variety, just be happy you found some at all. Tampons in the mail. That should be a fun one at customs. Regarding being the "weird one"... I may have an extra pair of martian antennas for you.:)
We agree to disagree.

I've found cheddar cheese at Tottus in Parque Arauco. It's the block kind (not pre-fab'ed slices) and can be found about eye level (for a short woman) about in the general cheese section (not where you have to ask the deli gals for cheese). If you're looking at the cooler, it's located in the right 1/3 of the wall. Although it's pretty mild and a bit dry (I lived in Wisconsin for a year, so I know the cheese standards!), it definitely works for the mac and cheese dishes I've been making. It's been there the last 3 times I've looked. Hope that helps!
