It seems the only options for those not getting the investment or retirement visa are the professional visa (and the long process of getting diplomas legalized in the US) or the work visa. Of course, who really knows if this is true b/c it seems the rules change according to who you talk to at the gobernación. If anyone knows anything different, please share.
Never heard of a nonprofessional visa

And all the visa rules are clearly laid out on the Extranjería website so I don't understand the confusion. One option is to get married to a Chilean and apply for the Marriage/Family Visa. TE-10 reqs still apply though. Or wait till they have another (Peruvian nana) amnesty and apply

.
There are different types of temporary visas with different paperwork. I'm referring to the TE-8: VISA DE RESIDENCIA TEMPORARIA PARA PROFESIONALES, TECNICO, NO PROFESIONALES, REMUNERADO EN EL EXTERIOR, PERIODISTAS O CORRESPONSALES DE MEDIOS DE COMUNICACION. The nonprofessional visa is the easiest to get if you have two job contracts. The professional visa is a pain b/c it requires the legalized foreign diploma plus one job contract. I was told twice in the gobernación in Arica that they won't issue the nonprofessional temporary visa, even with 2 contracts.
So yes, basically marriage is the easiest option it seems
