And so today we went looking for go-aheads/flipflops so Rod could walk without ripping open bigger holes in the feet. I have seen that walk. A lot of survivors coming out of just a 3-day walk in Torres del Paine walk like participants in the Bataan Death March.

Any idea how unlikely you are to find beach-shoes in XII Regíon?

In Chile the flipflops are called "hawaianas. " Remember that. It will be on the driver-licencing exam.
