BTW on Portalinmobilario there are new departmentos for 'immediate delivery', does that mean that the building is already constructed? Not sure how it is in CHile, but in Toronto any new building has tons of rentals available because ppl bought them as investments to rent out not to actually live in. I was thinking of going to some new developments to see if they have departments for rent. One in particular I saw online was Neo Arauco.

yes, that is the case,

Unfortuantly there is huge amounts of 1 bedrooms available, the 2,3,4 are snapped up straight away or usually are not available!

A Chilean when they leave home goes to live in a 1 bed apartment by them selfs around the age of 30, they dont usually share an apartment with other people, so most of the market for rentals is target at them!

I am not sure which part of the question you are responding to when you say 'yes, that is the case'.

New buildings usually have tons of rentals available, and you can go to the building if its open and hte consajes will have lists of contacts for them to rent,

But most of the rentals are 1 bedroom, not the 3 bedrooms!,

and if there are 3 bedrooms, you need to be fast!

It looks like if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. ON that note, I don't mind looking for departments on my own, but if anyone knows any great buildings in the Las Condes area (relatively close to subway), that I can check out and ask if they have any for rent.

Must Have's

- 3 bedrooms
- Pool
- Security
- newer building if possible

I'm going to 'pound the pavement' next week as much as I can.

Good to know that you are enjoying that area. I will definitely be checking that area out next week. How are you finding the traffic noise? I'm assuming you have a child/children.

Thanks a lot for the Facebook group, I will pass along that information!!!
