All is fine with IE9. However, my AllChile search needs are now covered after discovering the Goog adv search / search within a site or domain combo. But, I hope things work out to add this to AllChile.

O.k. posted it live at the top right of the forum. The crappy native search function is now gone. Not even phpbb project uses their own search function on their site.

Yea, the Google adv search function is the same thing. I have just tweaked the search results for the site. So, people should also get wiki, forum results, and articles we have posted at spencerglobal.com. I may add some other stuff, as soon as I get the advanced search features tweaked and refined. I want to be able to present the ability to search multiple bodies of information at the same time, or one specific one.

Yea, I will see if I can tweak the background of the advertising to stand out from the site results. There is a function for it.

search capability request

Postby Andres » Thu Sep 01, 2011 7:37 pm

I can not figure out the rationale for the sequence of entries the new search function displays.

Usually, when searching for a threat or post, one is seeking a recent entry.

Is there some way to sequence the search function output by date, or at least display the date of what it outputs?

Please?

Is it me, or have people stopped searching since the search box is no longer so obvious?

couple of things have been posted that could of been easily found by search......

any chance of getting a search box (of course using google search) back in the top right rather than the link?

Sort of like FlyerTalk. They have both the in-site conventional search/in-site conventional advanced search, and the google advanced search.

The more search the better. Information continues to be diluted by half assed answers to questions that have damn good thorough accurate past answers.

A post and thread rating system for completeness and accuracy would also be nice.

Is it possible to tailor the results of these searches so they are in date order, most recent at the top? Please.
