I saw it in the Jumbo Antofagasta (A&W rootbeer, by the way = the good stuff) in early August along with Sierra Mist and Dr. Pepper. I was shocked at how quickly all of the A&W rootbeer sold out here (within ~3 days! I had just arrived in Chile and had no idea that if you see something like that, you have to grab it or it's gone! I unfortunately only bought 1 can of the A&W, long gone now with no sign of returning...

Just got back from the States... any sign of root beer still????

No root beer at Jumbo La Dehesa as of now =(

Don't expect any Chileans to like Root Beer or Dr Pepper. They hate the taste. I compare Dr Pepper to coke with Red Vines taste but my Chilean family hated both. They said Red Vines taste like toothpaste

I saw lots of Dr Pepper at Jumbo Las Condes yesterday, just in case anyone is looking.

In La Serena the stocking of root beer and Dr. Pepper is typically limited to high tourist season (Jan-Feb); Jumbo seems to buy it once a year, and then when it runs out, that's it.

However, I introduced some Peruvian friends to Coke floats (with vanilla ice cream), and they liked it! Cream soda? anyone?

What I really miss is ginger beer, but I guess there aren't enough people here who share the same taste.
